Join us for an educational hike of the lower portion of Nine Mile Run. While enjoying the beauty of Frick Park, learn about the environmental history of the watershed and the restoration. We will glimpse into the past and visually compare key sites along the stream to past conditions.
This year, we will start in Duck Hollow and walk upstream to look at some of the changes that have taken place in the lower portion of Nine Mile Run. Those who attended in the past will get a new perspective and see a different part of the stream.
Please wear sturdy Waterproof boots and bring along a water bottle. Also – attendees should note that we will likely be walking in the stream over uneven and slippery rocks.
We will meet at the Duck Hollow parking lot, at the bottom of Old Browns Hill Road. For directions, please go here.
