Join Nine Mile Run Watershed Association as we help protect high-value, low quantity trees in the restoration area from our local beaver.
If you haven’t noticed the resident beaver is beginning to gnaw larger trees which occasionally fall across trails and create a startling view for park users. We hope to gently nudge the beaver towards smaller, more common trees.
Other activities may include weeding, replanting, and if time allows helping to clear the lower boardwalk.
We’ll meet at 10am at the ball field in lower Frick Park. Nine Mile Run Watershed Association will provide vests, nitrile gloves, and other materials. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools to better protect from the ongoing public health situation. Participants are required to wear masks.
